To be successful in the role as the Director of Engineering, you should possess excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team to develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes and technologies
- Oversee the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Research And Development, Quality, and Operations, to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to achieve operational excellence
- Develop and maintain manufacturing engineering standards, procedures, and best practices
- Manage capital projects, including budgeting, planning, and execution to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other relevant guidelines
- Mentor and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced degree, preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial engineering principles
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
