Kelly Science has immediate needs for a Quality Assurance Technician at one of our premier client locations in Tampa FL.
This is a contract role that has the potential for extension or conversion based on performance. Open to college students looking for industry experience over the summer also!
Shift : Monday-Friday 6am-4pm
Hourly Pay Rate : $18.50
Summary Description :
The Quality Assurance Technician oversees day-to-day quality operations, ensuring compliance with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring quality, sanitation, and batching systems.
Essential Functions :
- Adhere to health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards.
- Conduct analysis on raw materials, syrup batches, and treated water.
- Maintain accurate records of tests and retests.
- Collaborate with departments to improve quality and efficiency.
- Startup and complete flavor changes on production lines.
- Perform chemical and physical analysis on processing materials.
- Evaluate finished products and packaging integrity.
- Check process control parameters to assure proper equipment operation.
- Maintain cleanliness and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies :
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving skills and results-oriented mindset.
- Detail-oriented and adaptable to change.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science, Quality, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of quality systems such as GMP, HACCP, SQF certification ideal.
