- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to meet the needs of all children.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality relating to students and families.
- Must obtain CPR and first aid certification within the first few months of employment.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
Must be eligible for or possess a teaching license or Special Education Program Aide license #070 which requires three years of experience with children, or three years of college coursework, or a combination equivalent to three years.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY :
- Ability to exercise good judgment and effectively solve problems.
- Utilizing problem-solving techniques in correcting and changing student behavior.
- Using discretion in handling confidential information about students.
- Modeling and reinforcing positive behaviors which are expected of students.
