Position Overview :

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Huguley, Alabama area. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to meet the individual needs of students with various learning challenges.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists to provide a cohesive support system for students with disabilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress through ongoing observation, data collection, and formal assessments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress, IEP goals, and services provided.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and social-emotional development.
• Communicate effectively with parents / guardians regarding student progress, goals, and instructional strategies.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Missouri teaching certification in Early ChildhoodEducation.
• Experience working with students with disabilities, including knowledge of best practices in special education instruction and behavior management strategies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community members.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with trends and research in special education.
