LPN needed for the Summer and New 2024 / 25 school year

Job Type : Contract

• Full time
• Monday - Friday
• Middle School caseload

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of the student's health condition and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the student's healthcare team and parents / guardians.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and medical interventions as needed, ensuring compliance with state laws, school policies, and medical orders.
• Continuously monitor the student's vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status during school hours. Recognize and respond to changes promptly.
• Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, such as seizures, allergic reactions, or other health crises, following established
• Provide education and training to school staff, including teachers and aides, regarding the student's medical condition, emergency procedures, and the administration of medications or medical devices.
• Maintain open and effective communication with the student's parents / guardians, healthcare providers, and school personnel to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to the student's care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of the student's health assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment. Ensure compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations.
• Serve as an advocate for the student's health and educational needs, working to create a safe and supportive school environment that accommodates their medical condition.

Qualifications :

• CurrentLPN or RN license in California
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience in pediatric nursing or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to student well-being.

Interview Process :

• 10 15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
• 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
• Offer is typically within 24-48hours of the virtual interview
