Project Director

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets.

You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.

The work model for the role is : #LI-Remote This role is contributing to the Packaging / Motion / System Drives. You will be mainly accountable for :

Project Leadership : Lead the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.

Provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects.

• Planning and Scheduling : Define jointly with the project execution manager all project plan documents including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.
• Project Execution and Control : Ensure that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitor and control project progress and efficient resource utilization.

Monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. Identify, qualify, quantify and manage project risks and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued.

Capture, analyze and share lessons learned throughout the project. Ensure that the project is formally closed out as contractually agreed.

Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close out and its acknowledgement by the customer.

Project Execution and Control : Ensure that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitor and control project progress and efficient resource utilization.

Qualifications for the role

• Masters of Science or Bachelors of Science in Engineering or Business Degree with minimum 5 years of professional experience in project sales or execution in the industrial or project management
• Experience in sales and execution of mid size projects
• Experience in E House and electrical building manufacturing and project execution
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
