Location : Los Alamos, New Mexico

Schedule : Full-Time | Day Shift | Rotating Weekends

Duration : 13-week contract with option to convert to permanent

About the Role

A high-volume community pharmacy in Los Alamos, NM is hiring a Retail Pharmacist for a full-time, day-shift position. This assignment offers a 13-week trial period with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role based on performance and fit.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and committed to excellent patient care in a fast-paced retail environment.

Work Hours

Shift start times may vary : 8 : 30 AM or 9 : 30 AM based on schedule

Pharmacy Hours :

MondayFriday : 8 : 30 AM 6 : 30 PM

Saturday : 9 : 00 AM 2 : 00 PM (rotating weekends required)

Key Responsibilities

Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff throughout the day

Deliver thorough patient counseling and ensure high-quality customer service

Perform verification of USP 800 non-sterile compounded medications (no mixing or compounding required)

Manage prescription volume averaging 600+ scripts daily

Candidate Requirements

Active and unrestricted New Mexico Pharmacist license

Familiarity with non-sterile compounding is helpful but not essential

Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume pharmacy is highly preferred

Open to recent graduates with strong clinical knowledge and adaptability
