Commonwealth Pain and Spine (CP&S) is one of the fastest growing, progressive, comprehensive pain management groups in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Our team of friendly physicians are all board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology and take the time to educate our staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Maintains cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance of exam rooms, in compliance with OSHA
  • Prepare X-ray suite for patients
  • Verify accuracy of all patient documentation prior to procedure
  • Properly position patient for exam (i.e. standing, sitting, supine) on procedure table
  • Operate imaging equipment and file management system
  • Work independently to ensure quality patient experience
  • Assist patient with transitioning to / from x-ray table as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities :

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Quickly and accurately type notes into EMR as provider dictates
  • Strong computer and phone skills
  • Establishes and maintain effective working relationships with staff, co-workers, and patients
  • Navigates multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance policies (e.g.; HIPAA)
  • High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and positively influence others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency
  • Ability to help lift patients from procedure table to wheelchair and from wheelchair to car
  • Regular and reliable attendance, required

Education and Experience :

  • Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) certification required
  • LMRT state certification
  • 2+ years Medical Assistant experience, preferred
  • Pain Management experience, preferred
  • EMR, KASPER, INSPECT knowledge and experience, preferred
