We are seeking candidates with CDL Class A or B who want to work full-time traveling throughout OH, PA, KY, MI, & TN working on a road crew.

Duties :
- Assist with closing and reopening roadways, setting up and taking down cones and signage, flagging traffic, and cleaning the roadway for the rejuvenating application
- When needed, walk to each resident's home or business to pass out flyers informing them of pending roadwork.
- Speak to residents, city officials, and business owners to answer any questions.
- Assist with mixing products.
- Operate the distributor truck to spray the roadway and, if needed, hand-spray sections using a hand sprayer.
- Operate a dump truck and a street sweeper truck
- Follow all DOT rules and regulations
- Record all drive time and keep accurate records of expenses
- Keep issued work truck clean and performing. Troubleshoot issues, conduct routine maintenance, fill out maintenance logs, and perform daily inspections
- Report any safety hazards and / or unsafe conditions, as well as any DOT violations (including but not limited to HOS)
- Learn how to operate, maintain, and drive a sweeper truck and dump truck for cross-training purposes
- Respond daily to emails and texts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- CDL Class A or B
- Passing grade on the Flagger Course
- Knowledge of DOT laws and regulations
- Clean driving record and Clearinghouse record
- Must be able to travel out of town for up to 3 weeks at a time
- Comfortable working in traffic zones, controlling the flow of traffic
- Possess excellent communication skills. Verbal and written
- Tech savvy using multiple devices and software
- Overall, must be a team player and enjoy working on a team
- Intermediate math skills : addition, multiplication, division, percentages, and fraction knowledge
Working Conditions :
- The ability to lift 30 pounds and physically capable of performing all duties as assigned
- Required to stand for long periods of time while using hand / arm movements with limited breaks in hot and cold weather conditions
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, and handling materials.
- Able to work / drive in all weather conditions including, but not limited to, rain and heat
- Must wear all assigned PPE
