Your performance areas
The Financial Analyst position is responsible for engaging in financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, data consolidation, and reviewing operational performance to support mining equipment service and workshop operations.
Key responsibilities include :
- Analyze operational and financial results for mining equipment plant operations and make recommendations for improvements.
- Validate and maintain mining equipment order backlog register.
- Create forecasts of future business conditions using multiple scenarios, analyze and understand deviations from the established forecast.
- Stay abreast of developments in the mining and construction industries in which the company operates.
- Collaborate with sales and operational personnel to achieve company goals and objectives for the sale and servicing of mining equipment.
- Participate in the budget process. Prepare, distribute, and consolidate forecast templates and provide financial data and feedback based on forecast assumptions.
- Assist management in the analysis of its overall strategic direction and support the operations team in decision-making.
- Assist in analysis of balance sheet account fluctuations.
- Compile key business metrics, support monthly closing, report to management and perform special projects and analysis.
- Collaborate with other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives in order to improve financial and operational performance for mining equipment plant and service workshop.
- Assist in the review / audit of company financial practices and commercial processes to ensure compliance and proper functioning of internal controls.
Your profile :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and four (4) years of experience as Accountant and / or Accounting Analyst.
- The required four (4) years of experience as Accountant and / or Accounting Analyst must have included progressively responsible finance or accounting experience in the mining and / or construction equipment industry.
Up to 5% domestic travel required to plant / workshop facility in Elko, Nevada. May telecommute from home two days per week.
