What you'll do :

  • Schedule all MRI appointments as appropriate
  • Interview patient and maintain patient screening forms - upload and scan
  • Obtain appropriate demographic and insurance information
  • Interview patient and maintain patient screening forms - upload and scan
  • Obtain authorizations and insurance verification for services as needed, advise patients of any amounts due
  • Update and complete Orders in Modernizing Medicine
  • Ensure proper patient check-in and check-out
  • Collect patient payments and balances, to include co-pays and deductibles
  • Daily batch reconciliation
  • Schedule follow up appointments with ordering provider as needed
  • Provide final reports to various sources - ordering Physician, insurance, billing department
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assistance to patients
  • Triage phone calls and patient inquiries, respond to patients and outside agencies promptly
  • Retrieve messages from voicemail, email and EMR System
  • Retrieve and review department faxes - label, upload, and route as appropriate
  • Other administrative duties as outlined by department Lead

Qualifications

Who you are :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Specialist office experience preferred.
  • Ability to use computerized systems.
  • Must be detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of different insurance carriers and plan types is a plus.
