POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the serving staff to efficiently accommodate the customers.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.)
1. Assist all stations and respective lines as necessary, i.e. replenishing ice in bins, replacing syrups for soda machines, re-racking clean cups, sweeping stairs, under tables, walkways, checking bathrooms to ensure stocked & clean, etc..
2. Ensure that food is ran to the correct table number with the accurate order.
3. Ensure the proper bussing procedure is being utilized for pre-bussing when the customers are still dining or when the table is empty and ready to be turned.
4. Ensure sanitation of tables / chairs each time a guest leaves.
5. Ensure the proper closing down of work stations, contact a manager before leaving when shift ends.
6. Communicate effectively with the Front of the House AND Back of House staff.
7. Setting and removing beach and table umbrellas as our policy dictates.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have ability to :
Operate in a working environment that is subjected to varying levels of heat and noise, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
At times subjected to hazards such as wet floors and dangers associated with the use of heavy duty cutlery and cooking equipment.
- Inspect and maintain all areas for which responsible (sections of the restaurant that are assigned when bussing tables)
- Use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to choppers, slicers, mixers, and grinders. ( Use only with Chef’s permission)
- Effectively and efficiently move around the work area.
- Lift up to 50 pounds throughout a 6-8 hour shift.
- Prepare all varieties of meat including veal, pork, beef, lamb, poultry, game, and seafood.
- Knowing the restaurant’s menu and plating food consistently every time.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Full working knowledge of table numbers, sections of the restaurant, sanitation of table tops, proper restocking of all table top wares, condiments, assisting servers with pre-bussing tables when not busy, assisting guests with needs ensuring communication with servers in that section.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations :
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Casino Beach Bar & Grille / Drift.
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, , policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
- Consult Policy and Procedures and Manuals for guidance.
- Report suspicious activity to the appropriate levels of Management
