About The Position

• Strong skills in telemetry and managing patients in intermediate care and ICU settings
• Ability to float to ICU as needed

Description :

This position involves working primarily in intermediate care with the ability to float to the ICU as necessary.

The nurse will be responsible for caring for adult and geriatric patients, typically managing a patient ratio of 4 to 1.

Daily census and patient diagnostics will include various conditions, such as cardiac, neuro, and respiratory-related illnesses.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, and social services.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and cardiac telemetry.

Additional essential skills include care of ventilated patients, central line management, and administering IV insulin protocols.

Candidates should be familiar with isolation precautions, management of dysrhythmias, and patient care protocols in an intermediate care setting.

The role requires adaptability, as there may be weekend shifts and holiday rotations as necessary.

All staff are required to have the flu vaccine.

Special equipment used in this position includes vent, trach, IV non-titrating drips, and dialysis support.

The ability to manage respiratory assistance and other critical care procedures is essential.
