Heavy Equipment / Field Service Technician
Location : multiple openings for Various Locations across New England and New York State
Compensation : $30 - $42+ per hour plus PTO, 401k, Bonus opportunities, and Comprehensive Benefits. Also a great company to grow with for future management opportunities!
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment / Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy equipment in the field, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment
- Perform component repair or replacement, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
- Perform equipment maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair fuel injection systems
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed
- Conduct equipment testing and make necessary adjustments
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Provide exceptional customer service and support
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in heavy equipment repair and / or Diesel engine experience
- Experience with industrial, construction, forestry, and heavy truck equipment
- Proficient in electrical, diesel, gasoline, and hydraulic repair
- Knowledge of fuel injection systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues
- Experience with transmission replacement and hydraulic system repair
- Forklift certification preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work in the field and travel as needed
