Heavy Equipment / Field Service Technician

Location : multiple openings for Various Locations across New England and New York State

Compensation : $30 - $42+ per hour plus PTO, 401k, Bonus opportunities, and Comprehensive Benefits. Also a great company to grow with for future management opportunities!

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment / Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy equipment in the field, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment
• Perform component repair or replacement, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
• Perform equipment maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair fuel injection systems
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed
• Conduct equipment testing and make necessary adjustments
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Provide exceptional customer service and support
• Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in heavy equipment repair and / or Diesel engine experience
• Experience with industrial, construction, forestry, and heavy truck equipment
• Proficient in electrical, diesel, gasoline, and hydraulic repair
• Knowledge of fuel injection systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues
• Experience with transmission replacement and hydraulic system repair
• Forklift certification preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work in the field and travel as needed
