Duties :
- Reports to the agency care coordinator of changing or unusual conditions of your clients according to the client's plan of care.
- Helps clients care for themselves by introducing and teaching assisted techniques, such as using a cane or walker, using special utensils to eat, using special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene needs.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy client environment by following infection control standards and procedures; changing linens, dusting, vacuuming;
maintaining kitchen and bathroom areas of client's home and handling personal laundry.
- Provides nutritious meals by following dietary requirements and nutrition standards, preparing, cooking, and serving meals and snacks.
- Maintains continuity of client's home care by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs in the client's home journal for the next caregiver.
- Updates job knowledge and maintains certified nursing assistant status by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications;
fulfilling continuing education requirements.
- Protects the agency by adhering to professional standards, & agency policies and procedures.
