About The Position

Job Overview

Specialty : Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery

Hospital Location : Wausau, WI

Summary : APP duties include rounding with surgeon, vein harvesting if needed, first assisting in OR if needed, procedures if needed. There are 2 opportunities - OR only first assist or rounding + OR

Setting : Inpatient : depending on needs there would be flex between ICU / floor and OR

Shift : Daily 6am-6pm (end time varies) Weekend coverage 1 : 3

Dates :   Start as soon as credentialed

Patients per day : 15

ICU : Site manages their own ICU patients. Rounding on ICU patients daily. Ability to put in lines and do chest tubes / thoracentesis would be ideal. Not required though.

Preferred Procedures :

EVH system : Hemopro2

Population : Adults

License : WI license only, no compact is accepted

EMR : Epic

Additional Info : Could take NP, depending on the NP’s experience
