Position Summary :
Performs all aspects of MRI procedures. Knowledge of MRI procedures and equipment. Technical skills include computer proficiency in obtaining diagnostic images and screening patient information.
Performs technical procedures which will require independent judgment with ingenuity, initiative, and an understanding of the anatomical positions necessary to obtain a high quality diagnostic study.
May require light to medium lifting. Access and utilize the hospital and radiology information systems including PACS. Schedule flexibility with the possibility of being on-call.
Position Qualification :
- HS graduate or equivalent.
- 1 Year MRI experience (Hospital experience preferred).
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology program.
- Training in AMA approved school and meets requirements for registry by the ARRT.
- Must be self-motivated and once job skills are learned, is able to work with minimal supervision.
- Computer skills including knowledge of HIS, RIS and PACS.
Required Licenses / Certifications :
- ARRT MRI certification required.
- Florida License
- BLS Certification
Communication Skills :
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.
