What’s a typical day as a Mechanical Evaluation Technician? You’ll be :
- Adhering to all environmental, health, and safety SOPs, policies, and procedures.
- Performing electronic troubleshooting to determine root failure and conducting preventative maintenance evaluations.
- Using instruments such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure gauges to examine, test, repair, and troubleshoot medical devices.
- Applying technical knowledge to interpret information, test for accuracy, and determine root causes.
- Writing clear and concise technical evaluation summaries resulting from troubleshooting analysis.
- Collaborating with a team and rotating into repair and test areas as needed.
- Performing inspection duties and providing training to employees as required.

- Have good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow work instructions.
- Can work well independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Possess basic math skills and proficient computer skills.
- Are able to effectively determine the root cause of failure and perform basic statistical analysis.
- Have the ability to lift up to 30lbs on a routine basis and occasionally up to 41lbs.
- Are willing to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
- Have an associate's degree or equivalent technical certification.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in troubleshooting.
