Overview

The Post Trade Automation (PTA) provides automated trade settlement processing and reporting systems to support the Investment Bank at Deutsche Bank and has presence across the globe and operates a follow-the-sun model.

As the Senior Engineer, you will work on several initiatives that enhance the capabilities of the PTA platform for existing production purposes or building out new functionalities aimed at supporting the Business.

You will be working on troubleshooting, enhancing, or creating new data ingestion components, processing components, storage, and distribution components.

The platform also includes a UI which needs to be supported too.

You will participate in the full software development lifecycle - including business requirements analysis, solution design, prototyping and development, testing and productionization.

What You'll Do

• Design, Develop and Maintain core PTA components and frameworks
• Follow Bank processes and use industry standard tools for implementation and productionization of software
• Contribute at all stages of software development life cycle (SDLC) : analysis, design, development, unit and integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) facilitation, packaging, deployment and support
• Cooperation with other development teams, functional analysts and business analysts and numerous stakeholders of the project, as appropriate for the area of work
• Level-3 support for the production system as part of the developer support rota

Skills You'll Need

• Extensive experience in developing and supporting enterprise software systems in core Java technologies (Preferably experience in developing heavily multi-threaded Java server applications)
• Experience in Java Spring framework including Spring boot, Spring batch, Spring data, Spring REST services and Spring Cloud, as well as experience in cross-platform messaging environments like Solace, jms as well as Kafka;

serialization formats including XML, Json, etc

• Experience with database technologies especially Oracle and developing User Interfaces (UI) in Angular or other javascript frameworks, server-side scripting, scheduling, monitoring and performance tuning experience
• DevOps experience supporting entire software development life cycle with the help of industry-standard dev ops tools (Test automation experience would be a plus)
• Cloud certifications & experience (Global Control Programme (GCP) would be an advantage)

• Domain knowledge in Investment Banking & Trading will be advantageous
• Knowledge about post trade processing will be an added plus
• Strong analytical and technical background with good problem solving skills
• Good team-working and communication skills
• Willing to go the extra-mile to achieve team objectives

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.

Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
