POSITION SUMMARY
The Custom Window Treatment Sales Consultant serves as a trusted advisor for clients looking to enhance their home’s style, function, and comfort. This consultative role combines product knowledge, design sensibility, and sales expertise to guide clients through a smooth and enjoyable selection process. From in-home consultations to final proposals, this role is responsible for building relationships, closing profitable sales, and delivering on Brackets’ promise of service and quality.

Brackets is the custom window treatment division of Cyclone Contracting, a values-driven design-build firm in Central Iowa. We specialize in stylish, expertly installed window treatments that elevate everyday spaces. OBJECTIVES
- Qualify leads by identifying window treatment needs, style preferences, functionality (privacy, light control, energy efficiency), and budget
- Educate clients on available product lines, including shades, blinds, shutters, drapery, and automation solutions
- Conduct in-home consultations and showroom appointments to evaluate windows, space considerations, and client goals
- Provide accurate measurements and translate them into tailored product specifications
- Develop detailed proposals and polished visual presentations using Brackets software and related tools
- Present solutions with clarity, highlighting benefits, customization options, and alignment with client expectations and budget
- Follow up on proposals promptly, address questions, and guide clients toward purchasing decisions
- Coordinate with ordering, scheduling, and installation teams to ensure specifications are precise and projects remain on track
- Confirm installation satisfaction and encourage repeat or referral business through consistent post-project communication

2+ years of experience in consultative sales, interior design, or home services (window treatment experience a plus)Eye for design, with a strong understanding of color, texture, and spaceProficiency in digital measuring tools and sales presentation software (e.g., BuilderTrend, The Link)Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsCOMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY
