WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER
The Director of Operations will provide leadership for the strategic priorities of the program by developing and implementing tactics for approved plans and completing day-to-day tasks.
Their primary role is to provide assistance to all levels of staff on HR issues, working closely with the Human Resources Business Partner.
The Director provides guidance in satisfying organizational requirements based on extensive knowledge of policies and procedures.
They must have advanced knowledge of the systems and resources utilized for human resources activities, and apply knowledge to managing support and coordinating communications related to the resources.
The Director will also be responsible to oversee the development and implementation of annual budgets, managing the process for annual planning, forecasting, monitoring, and supplying technical reports.
They will oversee the coordination of training / meetings and document activities.
They will be responsible for central administrative processes including facility management, telecommunications, mailroom operations, telephone / public reception, maintaining office supplies and equipment, purchasing requests, contracts administration, accounts payable and petty cash.
They will provide administrative support including meeting planning and logistics, scheduling and report preparation / distribution.
The Director will adapt processes and implement recommended practices in order to improve effectiveness. They will keep up-to-date on market trends and best practices in order to improve services.
They manage a team of administrative and finance / accounting staff. Duties are highly confidential and require broad and comprehensive knowledge of TNC policies.
They serve on the TNC / North Carolina Management Team.

The Director of Operations provides overall direction for the human resources, safety, and facilities management operations functions within the North Carolina Chapter.
Their primary role will be to support and provide all human resources functions for approximately 45 regular staff and 50 temporary and seasonal staff.
This position will also oversee the finance function and collaborate with the IT and grants functions supporting the chapter.
This is a hybrid position based in Durham, NC.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination, including 2 years managing operations functions.
- Experience managing and implementing multiple projects.
- Experience negotiating agreements.
- Experience supervising staff, interns, and / or volunteers.
- Experience with current technology in relevant field.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of relevant field.

SALARY INFORMATION
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $80,000 $95,000 for annual base salary.
This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
