Medical Assistant - Gunbarrel Medical Center

$20.50 - $28.94 an hour - Full Time, Days. 40 hours a week.

$2.50 for weekend shifts.

Boulder Community health is seeking a Medical Assistant, where you will serve as a dedicated patient caregiver. Within our care delivery system, the MA organizes care around patients, while engaging a multidisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program preferred, or
  • Colorado LPN license in good standing preferred, or
  • Pass a national Medical Assistant Certification exam preferred.
  • BLS certification required by the end of conditional period.

Responsibilities

  • Takes patient histories, vital signs and thoroughly documents in patient chart.
  • Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
  • Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
  • Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments.
  • Performs selected nursing and administrative duties.
  • Performs venipunctures and fingerstick phlebotomy, throat cultures, urinalysis, EKG’s, and other laboratory procedures as directed
