Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant I to join the GI department in Summit, NJ part of Atlantic Medical Group to work 8AM - 4PM.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities :
The CMA will assume responsibilities for clinical as well as administrative functions in this private practice and residency program including managing patient flow, rooming patients, patient intake, managing phones, patient scheduling, patient registration and check-out, posting charges and other duties associated with a physician practice.
Minimum Education :
- HS Diploma required
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Minimum Experience :
- Ability travel to different practices and work flexible hours to accommodate practice hours if necessary
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products essential
- Experience with an EMR system preferred
License / Certification :
MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA and prior CMA experience in a physician practice required
