Position Description :
We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Automation Test Engineer to join our successful Federal organization. You will support a dynamic, fast-paced project focused on improving the cyber security posture of civilian government agencies.
In this role, you will support the overall testing approach for the project, and its cyber security offerings focused on next generation security solutions and technologies.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities :
- Development of test cases / scripts, test case automation, test execution and validation of results.
- Develop automated test scripts using automated tools such as QTP, RFT, Robot, Selenium, Worksoft, Appium, Cypress, Parasoft SOA for Web and mobile applications.
- Assist in managing and updating Requirements Tracking tool.
- Assist with managing the development of the master test plan and project schedule, including all details related to automated versus manual testing.
- Support the development and execution of the problem reporting process.
- Support test and technical teams involved in developing requirements and software design artifacts to ensure familiarity with the requirements and expected functionality of the system.
- Manage the delivery of system test plans and update as required.
- Support the delivery of client expectations and involvement in the various testing activities.
- Assist with managing the development of reports on project progress, risks and issues.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role :
Due to the nature of the contract requirements, US citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work.
In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD / Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of experience.
- Extensive knowledge of quality assurance and testing.
- Knowledge of automated test suites.
- Experience in leading and independently performing testing.
- Effective communication and writing skills to communicate to customers and internal team members.
- Exceptional organizational skills to work with a vast array of information.
- Ability to maintain own workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel to various sites across the DC metro area.
Desired qualifications
- Cybersecurity experience.
- Experience in testing requirements, including and IV&V.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) and / or Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), IT systems and processes, testing methodologies.
- Experience with the DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program.
