POSITION SUMMARY
Under the management of the Inventory Manager, Finished Goods, the Inventory Control Analyst analyzes and reports on internal and external finished goods to ensure that product availability meets customer demand.
Analyzes current inventory levels, production cycles, and sales forecasts to determine reorder levels. Drives disposition of potential risk inventory and controls liquidation of outdated stock.
Primary Responsibilities include :
- Track and report on weeks forward coverage levels by analyzing inventory qtys, production and sales volumes.
- Drive processes to ensure we achieve target inventory levels while maintaining service levels.
- Track and report on internal and external slow- moving / excess / waste inventory.
- Own inventory waste inventory management processes. Analyze and conduct root causes for any inventory-related issues and risks.
Drive resolutions to controllable issues with supply chain team.
- Ensure the department delivers on proactive / preventative waste inventory management processes.
- Analyze and report on inventory targets every month.
- Coordinate with manufacturing sites and distribution centers and execute inventory transfers to meet fill rates / service goals.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports on finished good inventory positions, liabilities, write-offs etc.
- Own disposition and liquidation of outdated inventory while mitigating cost impact.
- Work with plants to set priorities for addressing any non-nettable inventory. Report metrics that track performance against inventory turn goals.
- Identify and analyze opportunities for finished good network optimization.
- Partner with demand and production planning teams to meet company inventory, distribution & service goals.
- Develop process improvements to achieve department goals.
- Track and report established inventory KPIs, be creative to define and create new KPIs.
- Optimize and automate inventory reports where needed. Have a knack for excel and be creative / independent for analytical support.
- Plan and complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; 1-3 years of related experience preferred
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Results driven with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience analyzing data and getting measurable results from that analysis
- Demonstrated ability to use technology and maintain databases effectively
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.
- Intermediate knowledge of inventory management software (ERP)
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced dynamic environment with
- changing demands and priorities
- Possess excellent written communication skills for reports and presentations
- Professionalism to work effectively and collaboratively across multiple levels of the organization
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the food / beverage industry
- Experience in Manufacturing or production environment
- Proven organizational skills
- Ability to direct, coach and train others.
- Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting.
FREQUENT : sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking and standing,
OCCASIONAL : squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals.
VISION : Ability to see close objects i.e. computers for long periods of time with or without correction.
HEARING : Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
