Role : PostgreSQL Database Administrator - L5

Location : USA

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented DevOps / Database Administrator with 5-10 years of experience to manage and optimize data infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PostgreSQL , AWS Storage , ETL Development , Python , and Git / GitHub . This role involves maintaining robust data systems, supporting development workflows, and ensuring seamless integration across platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer and optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Manage AWS Storage solutions including S3, EBS, and Glacier for data backup, recovery, and lifecycle policies.
  • Design and implement ETL pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline operations and data workflows.
  • Maintain version control and collaboration using Git / GitHub , including branching strategies and pull request reviews.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to support CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of services.

Required Skills :

  • Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database administration and tuning.
  • Proficiency in AWS Storage services and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of ETL development and data integration techniques.
  • Advanced scripting skills in Python for automation and data handling.
  • Experience with Git / GitHub for source control and team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and basic CI / CD workflows.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and containerization (e.g., Docker, Terraform).
  • Exposure to monitoring tools and log management systems.
  • Certification in AWS or database technologies is a plus.
