Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment, building maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing the processing and packaging equipment.

Key responsibilities include :

Repair and preventative maintenance of equipment, machines, buildings, and grounds to support fluid milk processing, packaging, and storage operations.

Demonstrate the ability to work without supervision.

Recognized by peers and production leaders as being a competent mechanic with effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Understands the importance of equipment run time and exhibits a sense of urgency.

Proven communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Adhere to all good manufacturing and safety practices as defined by the employer.

Hard Skills

Electrical-mechanical systems troubleshooting using schematics

Industrial refrigeration systems

Hydraulic systems

PLC systems and plant automation

Food industry processing / packaging equipment

Hands-on welding experience

Preventive maintenance work-order systems

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota.

Work Environment

Working in a food environment. Safety is very important. Must be able to work inside and outside of the plant; temperatures vary from 34 degrees to 85 degrees inside the facility.
