POSTION RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead purchasing and category management teams responsible for direct materials including solvents, resins, monomers, pigments, additives and toll manufacturing.
  • Improve or transform procurement processes, systems and strategies to advance the organization’s Supply Chain transformation roadmap.
  • Lead supplier relationship management initiatives, form strategic supplier partnerships, and ensure supplier performance to established metrics.
  • Develop and maintain global sourcing strategy that ensures stability of supply, reduction of risk and optimization of raw material costs.
  • Responsible for developing supplier agreements, and developing procurement plans based on market conditions, requirements and supplier risk.
  • Leads critical SAP and Business process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and enable effective external collaboration.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues, supports customer facing communications and meetings as necessary.
  • Provides leadership to cross-functional Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Maintain raw material inventory at optimal levels.
  • Coach and Mentor direct reports, and other Procurement team members.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years managing direct reports (required)
  • 5 years of SAP experience in Materials Management and Production Planning (required)
  • Bachelors’ degree in business or related (required), MBA (desired)
  • CPM or CSCP certification (desired)
  • Chemical industry background (desired)
