SUMMARY : As a Forklift Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly. From conducting routine maintenance to troubleshooting and repairing equipment, your expertise will ensure the safety and efficiency of our forklift fleet.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Combi and all other makes of lift trucks
- Diagnose and repair lift trucks and other identified products
- Repair and maintain all Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Responsible for scheduling Preventative Maintenance of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and keeping updated records of PM's completed
- Inspects forklifts, and other operating equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and operational standards
- Conducts test of safety equipment to ensure OHSA and operational standards
- Maintains accurate preventive maintenance records
- Responsible for general cleanliness of service area
- Maintain parts inventory and repair records for all equipment by completing accurate paperwork
- Communicate any abuse damages to onsite personnel with a detailed description of problem
- Use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot engines, engine fuel systems, transmissions, or other components on material handling equipment
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical / electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
- Must be able to use a computer for several different task including creating repair work orders.
- 3 years of experience with the repair / maintenance of industrial fork trucks.
- Preferred Candidates will have the ability to lift up to 125lbs, rebuild, repair, and maintain forklifts, pallet jacks, and hydraulic lifts
