Assistant/Associate Athletic Director, Compliance

Responsible for NCAA, Conference, University Compliance for a Division I athletic department with 21 sports, over 450 student-athletes and coaches.

Direct athletic liaison with university registrar, admissions, financial aid, residence life, and academic affairs and support.

Position Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree required. Experience working in compliance at the Division 1 level. Strong interpersonal skills as well as a strong working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Experience in a college athletic environment and the ability to work with a wide range of people. The position must have a demonstrated working knowledge of NCAA rules and a duty to cooperate with and furnish the NCAA, conference, or institution with truthful and complete information concerning involvement in, or knowledge of rules violations, as mandated by NCAA Bylaw 10.

1. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to communicate and educate a wide variety of campus constituents regarding compliance issues.

Position Preferred Qualifications / Experience :

Masters degree. 5 plus years working in an NCAA Division I athletic compliance environment. The ability to understand and oversee athletic academic support as well as experience and ability to provide direct sport administration for several sports.
