Salary : $39,305 + 2.50 shift differential for evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Your role as a Direct Care Associate Full-Time
As a Community Services Associate II / Direct Support Professional at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you will be crucial in empowering individuals requiring total care.

To excel in the role of a Community Services Associate II / Direct Support Professional at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, a candidate should possess a strong foundation in understanding mental retardation, autism, and other developmental disabilities.
Demonstrated experience in working with adults with disabilities and exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential.
Establishing and nurturing positive relationships with clients, families, employers, and fellow service provider staff is critical.
Proficiency in navigating ICF / IDD regulations, following active treatment schedules, and having at least one year of direct care experience with adults facing Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities or mental illness is highly valued.
Previous experience in an Intermediate Care Facility or as a CNA is advantageous, alongside holding a valid Virginia Driver's License.
