Cost Estimator

Seeking a detail-oriented Heavy Civil Construction Estimator to conduct thorough reviews of contract plans, specifications, and other bid documents.

Responsibilities include performing accurate takeoffs, calculations, analyzing data, soliciting quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, and preparing documents for bid proposals.

The role involves using estimating software to prepare detailed cost estimates, determining construction means and methods, engaging in dialogue with stakeholders, and reviewing project risks.

The ideal candidate will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate and competitive bid submissions.

Hard SkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldProficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, Excel, Primavera P62-5 years of work experience in heavy civil construction, including field experienceFamiliarity with DOT, DDC, DEP, EDC, MTA C&D, PANYNJ and other government agency codes and regulationsSoft SkillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to develop clear write-ups and documentation for SOQ / RFP type proposalsCapability to work independently and as part of a teamJob TypeThis is a permanent position.
