The registered nurse will perform direct patient / resident care and delegation to patient care technicians in providing care and comfort to the residents.
Knowledge and compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained.
This position has basic medical / surgical knowledge in order to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.
For casual positions : casual employees have no regularly scheduled work hours, but require an understanding of, and agreement to fulfill, the minimum time commitments of the position for as long as the position is held.
These are (if needed) at least 48 hours per month with 24 of those hours worked on weekends, and an annual requirement of 24 hours worked on holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
30%)* Regularly assesses patient's / client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
30%)* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
20%)* Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating / revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.
10%)* Processes physician / provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
10%)* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
Requirement description :
- 2+ years of Med Surg Experience - Required
- Oncology Experience - Required
- BLS (AHA) & ACLS (AHA) - Required
- Travel Experience - Highly Preferred
- Epic Experience - Preferred. please notate experience on profile!

- Facility Specific Requirement : Cannot accept local candidates that live within 50 miles of the facility.
