Position Purpose : The Technician II will be responsible for the precise electrical / mechanical components for space flight.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Range : $25.00 - $43.00 / hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities :

• Read, understand, and execute work instructions to build advanced and precise electrical / mechanical assemblies.
• Verify built assemblies are meeting the engineering intent from an electrical / mechanical perspective.
• Identify non-conforming issues during assembly and recommend solutions to the engineering team to overcome issues.
• Take ownership and maintain build documentation for assemblies being built. Including filling out work instructions, non-conformance reports and logging time against the applicable work order.
• Be willing to cross train in multiple areas of specialty.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Perform tasks with a high level of integrity
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
• Provide input for continuous process improvement, develop more refined ways of assembling parts and products
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications / Education :

• 2+ years’ related experience, or a two-year technical degree and 1 years related experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• MUST have experience performing precision electrical / mechanical assembly
• Ability to read and work to engineering documentation
• Familiarity with tools and techniques used for precision manufacturing and assembly
• Experience using metrology tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Multi-meters, etc.)
• Applied knowledge of GD&T (ANSI / ASME Y14.5)
• Excellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts
• Possess strong problem solving and communication abilities
• High standard of workmanship is a must
• Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education

Working Conditions :

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
