This is a role well suited to anambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for :
- Collaborative Development : Working withR&D, quality assurance and manufacturing teams to develop reliabilityrequirements, develop and implement comprehensive reliability test plans forIVD medical devices that align with product development and productionprocesses.
- Lab & Technicians Management : Manage Labtechnicians, support resource and budget planning and oversee the reliabilityengineering lab.
- Test Methodology : Designingand developing test methods and fixtures to assess the performance anddurability of IVD devices.
- Protocol& Training : Writing oftest protocols, training personnel on test procedure, analyzing data andcreating final reports.
- Conducting Tests : Conductingreliability tests and documenting results, including environmental, lifecycle,and accelerated aging tests, to evaluate product performance under differentconditions and in compliance with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Data Analysis : Analyzing test results and providingdetailed reports, identifying areas for improvement and potential risks.
- Functional Representation : Serving asthe subject matter expert and technical representative for the reliabilityengineering function in project teams.
- Process Improvement : Recommendingdesign or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achievingrequired levels of product reliability.
- Project Leadership : Leading anddirecting multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Design Reviews : Participating in design reviews and workingwith engineering to drive DFR (Design for Reliability) process and tools andsupport in defining and executing reliability plans.
- Reliability Planning : Developingreliability plans and requirements, conducting Design Failure Mode and EffectsAnalysis (DFMEA).
- Failure Analysis : Reviewingdevice failures, performing root cause investigations, and documenting resultsin a failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action (FRACAS) system.
- Risk Analysis : Completing risk analysis studies of newdesigns and processes. Compiling and analyzing performance reports and processcontrol statistics;
investigating and analyzing relevant variables potentiallyaffecting product and processes.

- Fixture Knowledge : You have knowledge of building fixtures and performing Life Data Analysisfor in-vitro diagnostics medical products.
Required skills to have for the success of this role.
- Education : bachelor’s degree (Advanced degree preferred) in Mechanical / Electrical / Biomedical / Systems / Reliability Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience : 7+ years product verification and reliability engineering experiencein highly regulated industry preferably in a medical device or healthcareindustry.
- Verification Tests : Previous experience creating custom verification tests and fixtures, planningverification tests (DoE, sample size selection, etc.).
- Management : Previous experience managing multiple projects, contractors, overseeing labs,resource planning and executing reliability engineering activitieswithexternal agencies preferred.
- Software : Experience in Reliability and statistical analysis software likeReliasoft / PTC Windchill / Minitab is preferred.
- Motor Control : Experience with motor control using LabView.
- Certification : Reliability Engineering Certification a plus.
