Base Pay : $73,950.00 - $96,050.00 / year JOB SUMMARY Under direction of the LCSW Supervisor / Medical Director, provides professional psychotherapy treatment, assessment and diagnosis utilizing the most updated DSM diagnostic criteria.
Develops and maintains patient panel, providing ongoing services to adults and all other related clinical work as required.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide intensive individual psychotherapy with adult and adolescent patients, ages 16 and older.
Participate in the intake process and the evaluation of problems presented in the making of treatment plans.
Gather data relative to a patient's personal, social, and emotional history by interviewing the patient.
Prepares psychosocial assessments with particular emphasis upon psychosocial factors affecting the patient's ability to appropriately utilize medical care.
Participate directly in individual therapy as well as limited group therapy for adolescents and adults.
Participate with other staff members and with community agencies in carrying out treatment plans.
Interpret and explains to patients', the social and emotional understanding of the factors pertaining to emotional disorders in order to provide a better understanding of the social aspects of environmental, emotional, and physical problems.
Attend meetings, keeps records, and makes reports.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of principles, procedures, techniques, trends, and literature of clinical social work.
Knowledge of psychosocial aspects of mental and emotional disturbances and mental deficiency.
Knowledge of scope and activities of public and private health and welfare agencies.
Ability to independently apply the principles of clinical social work.
Ability to establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of persons contacted in the course of work.
Secure accurate psychosocial data, record such data systematically, write clear, accurate, and concise reports, and interpret statistical data.
Maintain a compassionate and empathetic understanding of those struggling with mental and emotional difficulties as a result of psychosocial stressors or mental illness.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Current licensure by BBSE as LCSW in California.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Two years of work experience as an LCSW in the healthcare field.
