Experience :

Experience working pre / post operatively with varied surgical patient populations is required.

A critical care background is required.

Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.

License :

A nursing license is required.

Certifications :

BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Certifications must be from an accredited organization.

Must-Have :

Telemetry travelers must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.

Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting.

Description :

We are seeking an RN PACU to be responsible for independent peri-anesthetic management of a diverse surgical population.

You will develop a therapeutic relationship by establishing trust and enabling the patient or family to feel comfortable verbalizing care requirements.

Floating between units may be necessary depending on current staffing needs.

One weekend or holiday call shift is required per contract.

The unit handles a variety of surgical teams including transplant, orthopedic, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, and more.

Special procedures include stroke, kidney / pancreas transplant, and various surgical interventions.

Strong ICU / PACU experience is needed for success in this role.
