Our client is in search of a seasoned Director of Operations to spearhead their aircraft maintenance team. The perfect fit for this role would possess an Airframe and Powerplant Certificate, coupled with Inspector Authorization, and showcase expertise in leading aircraft maintenance operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising maintenance on jets, turbines, and piston engines, guaranteeing compliance with jet phase inspections, and efficiently employing Quantum MX or equivalent software for shop management.
Responsibilities :
- Efficiently schedule and manage all aircraft maintenance activities across multiple locations, ensuring projects are completed within deadlines and budget constraints.
- Supervise the use of Quantum MX for work authorizations, work orders, and customer invoicing.
- Obtain customer sign-offs on work authorizations and oversee completion of work orders prior to aircraft delivery.
- Oversee procurement processes, including purchasing, coding of expenditures, and procurement of necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and avionics tasks.
- Manage piston engine overhauls and ensure proper return-to-service procedures.
Qualifications :
- Hold an A&P Certificate with Inspector Authorization (IA).
- Possess extensive experience in managing aircraft maintenance shops and conducting engine overhauls.
- Proficiency in utilizing Quantum MX or a similar management software.
- Strong understanding of jet phase inspections and piston engine maintenance, specifically with Continental and preferred Lycoming engines.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage customer relations effectively.
