Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with CT or compact license, strong trauma background, and scrubbing experience in neuro, ortho, and robotics.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care hospital
  • Facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a 426-bed capacity
  • Requires both circulating and scrubbing in majority of service lines except cardiac
  • Significant focus on neuro, ortho, and robotic cases using DaVinci XI and DaVinci5 systems
  • Charting is completed using EPIC
  • Day shift schedule : five 8-hour shifts, 9 : 00am to 5 : 30pm
  • Call, rotation, and weekend coverage required as needed for department
  • Responsibilities include both circulating and scrubbing for operative cases across multiple specialties except cardiac
  • Will provide coverage for breaks during high-volume neuro, ortho, and robotics cases
  • Auto-approval of up to 7 days of requested time off; requests exceeding 7 days require approval
  • Pre-assignment modules must be completed before start and annually as required
  • Free parking provided on-site
  • Participation in emergency or disaster response activities may be required
  • Scrub or dress code details should be confirmed with assignment onboarding
  • Return assignments for former employees are only allowed after a 2-year interval

  • Active CT or Compact RN license required prior to start date
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required
  • Trauma experience in an acute care setting is required
  • Previous experience circulating and scrubbing in neuro, ortho, and robotics required
  • Experience with DaVinci XI and DaVinci5 robots preferred
  • EPIC charting system experience preferred
  • Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
  • COVID vaccine and booster required unless granted medical or religious exemption
  • Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • Must not have prior disciplinary action on nursing license
  • At least one professional reference required
  • Returning staff must have been gone at least 2 years to be eligible
