Certifications such as CSP, CIH, or OSHA 30 highly desirable. About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to lead workplace health and safety programs within their food manufacturing operations in Orange County. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and procedures tailored to a food manufacturing environment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA, Cal / OSHA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead site-wide safety training, including onboarding, annual refreshers, and specialized compliance programs.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain all safety records, reporting, and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Partner with operations, quality, and HR to promote a strong safety culture and employee engagement.
- Oversee emergency response programs and preparedness plans.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on safety matters for leadership and employees.
