Freedom Home Care, a reputable home care agency serving the Chicagoland, northern Illinois, and North Shore area for over 27 years, is currently seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our dedicated team.
As a Caregiver at Freedom Home Care, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care to our clients in their home environment, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.
Responsibilities :
- Provide exceptional care to clients including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
- Offer specialized care such as dementia care, support for individuals with developmental disabilities, and assistance in nursing home or assisted living settings.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary and support clients with mobility challenges.
- Foster social interactions and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure holistic care for clients
Experience :
- Prior experience in caregiving roles, preferably in home care, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities required.
- Knowledge of best practices in dementia care, social work principles, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients at all times.
