$10,000 Sign on Bonusno night shifts but a mix of 8, 10, and 12 hr shifts. Limited weekend needs.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : PeopleProvides leadership in the professional practice setting.

Supports and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.Delegates tasks to assistive personnel in a respectful professional manner.

Identify patient problem and collaborates with the Anesthesia / Surgeon / Perioperative team in the selection of appropriate interventions (tasks).

Interacts with members of the health care team to plan and coordinate theperioperative care.Promotes a healthy work environment through promotion of professionalcommunication standards, commitment to co-workers, and positive problemresolution.

ServiceConducts appropriate pre-anesthetic assessments, and document findings.In collaboration with the anesthesiologist, determines the appropriate anesthetic planof management, manages all aspects of anesthesia care to include preoperative,perioperative, and immediate postoperative care.

Maintains complete and accurate documentation of care for all procedures.Provides airway management and / or intubations for emergent, non-emergent, andresuscitation situations throughout the hospital.

Anticipates and exceeds patients and customers’ expectations that meet allelements of the Henry Ford Experience.Identifies services and care improvement ideas and act on them to create excellentcustomer experiences.

Demonstrates, supports, and assumes personal accountability for consistentlyupholding team members to the standards across the System and adhering to HenryFord Health policies and procedures.

Quality and SafetyIndependently uses and documents the nursing process to plan, deliver, andevaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patientsincluding those with complex pathophysiological needs and / or psychosocial needs.

FinanceAware of financial implications of actions and decisions based on factors related tosafety and effectiveness.Supports the unit financially by using resources in a cost-effective mannerGENERAL SUMMARY : Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures.

Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.
  • Master’s degree required.

Work is generallyin an operating room environment, but can be in Radiology, ICU, ER, or wherever nurseanesthesia services are required in the hospital.

Working conditions are variable withexposure to communicable diseases and other hazards. Driving may be required,dependent on specialty.
