CALCULEX is a leader in developing state-of-the-art equipment for the acquisition, recording, routing, and processing of instrumentation quality data, often supporting developmental and operational testing of military and commercial airborne systems.
CALCULEX, Inc. is seeking FPGA-based digital design developers with the following education, experience, and skills :
Education
Minimum BSEE with digital design track, MSEE welcomed
Experience
Minimum 5 years in digital design with FPGAs
Technical Skills
- 10 years’ experience designing processor cards including System on Chip, based on discreet microprocessors or S.O.C.
- 5 years’ experience designing IO cards, Data Acquisition Cards
- Experience with routing, laying out, fabricating, and assembling CCAs
- Knowledge of Intel / Altera FPGAs
- Knowledge of Quartus development environments
- Experienced with ModelSim design simulation
- Familiar with timing constraints and time domain crossings
- Familiar with PCI Express and other high-speed SERDES protocols
- Familiar with integration of 3rd-party logic IP cores
- Familiar with imbedded hard-core and soft-core microprocessor designs
- Complex problem solving and digital design troubleshooting
Technical Tasks
- Evaluate and select FPGA components for digital circuit design
- Evaluate and select external DDR memories and clock distribution components
- Support schematic developers and embedded firmware developers
- Design and document FPGA-based data manipulation algorithms
- Develop test plans and procedures for FPGA-based algorithm designs
- Provide early FPGA outer layer pinout compiles for PCB schematic development
- Provide FPGA logic support for prototype and 1st article PCB testing
- Provide FPGA support for system-level multi-PCB integration testing
- Generate and support generation of logic design documentation
- Support generation of marketing materials and user training documentation
- Support user-submitted FPGA functional design problem resolution
