- Perform all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual.
- Meet the technical competency requirements for the position.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff.
- Participate in professional education programs, patient / staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance / improvement activities.
Required Knowledge & Skills :
- Documented training and experience in radiography
- Current BLS certification
- Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full / General) license*
- Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation*
- For recent radiologic technology graduate only : ARRT registered certification eligibility in Radiography with RT(R); must obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full / General) license
Additional Skills Required :
- Ability to use computers
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to hear and respond to staff and patient needs
- Ability to physically position patients
- Ability to manipulate imaging equipment
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience :
Documented training and experience in radiography.
Certification / Licensure :
Current MA DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography license required; Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation; BLS / CPR required.
Software / Hardware :
Imaging acquisition, processing, reviewing, sending, and retrieving equipment (hardware and software); Hospital information system equipment (hardware and software);
Communication equipment (e.g., fax, telephone, email, etc.).
