Who’s the business
Zanda has been retained by a hyper-growth AI SaaS business to identify their first Chief Financial Officer. This B2B high-growth start-up has quadrupled its customer base in the last 12 months, won numerous industry awards, and provides the opportunity to work in a fast-changing industry for a leading disruptor in the field.
What experience will you gain :
Working closely with the Founder, this role will focus on overseeing financial modeling and delivery, commercial insight and analysis, and establishing financial processes to support business strategy.
You will be instrumental in designing as well as implementing a cost-efficient financial strategy to ensure the company realizes its growth potential.
The business will look to grow aggressively over the next 12 months by increasing its customer base, and geographical presence and through acquisition.
You will therefore be key in directing the Founder via analytics to ensure this strategy is executed.
In addition to commercial reporting, you will be leading the control function and ensuring the team reports to tight deadlines and that they are developed.
Due to the rapid expansion of this business and of course the envisaged growth, there is a need to put in place more robust controls, processes, and systems.
With the current finance & accounting headcount at 5, there will be a requirement to upscale this team to ensure that the function is far more proactive vs reactive.
The Founder wants this CFO to create a commercial business partnering function that can have an impact on the business.
What background should have before you press apply!
You will be CPA or MBA-qualified professional, with experience of working for a high-growth tech business a must-have. You will need to have had experience of being a strong commercial and strategic business partner, with exposure to planning, forecasting, and trend analysis.
If you have gained funding experience then that would be a bonus. Having controls understanding as well as the ability to initiate change management practices across this function is a must-have.
A strong leader is required that can successfully manage as well as develop staff.
