Chief Philanthropic Officer Summary :
- Leads the enterprise-wide philanthropic initiatives, driving strategic fundraising efforts.
- This position involves developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing a system philanthropic strategy that aligns with the work of the hospital foundations, the BayCare grants leadership and executive leadership to expand and enhance philanthropic efforts across BayCare.
- Creates and manages an effective system philanthropic governance structure to support system foundation operations.
- Has operational responsibility for the BayCare hospital foundations.
- The hospital foundation executives will have a dual reporting relationship; operationally to this job and to their respective Foundation boards to maintain local governance.
- Serves as the lead strategist for system fund development.
- Articulates a clear vision that aligns with BayCare's mission, principles, and shared values in all Foundation communications; maintains a "big picture" view : anticipates challenges and opportunities; fosters innovative ideas through creativity.
- Responsible for designing strategic campaign plans that align with BayCare Health System's most critical system funding needs, priorities, and initiatives.
- Ensures that annual financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Aims to establish the BayCare Office of Philanthropy as an industry-leading model, positioning BayCare Health System as a premier destination for philanthropy.
- Establishes and maintains a mature portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, aiming to secure leadership gifts for key system priorities while collaborating with local foundations, organizational leaders, and clinicians.
Minimum Qualifications :
Required Experience :
Minimum of twelve (12) years in Progressive fundraising, preferably in healthcare philanthropy, with a successful track record of leading high-performing foundations and managing all dimensions of annual, major, capital, and planned giving, including endowment fundraising.Comprehensive management skills and experience in short and long-term planning, evaluation, directing and motivating staff, financial management, and governance.Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing a comprehensive campaign and producing charitable contributions.Leading enterprise-wide healthcare philanthropic initiatives, including healthcare academia fundraising.Required Education :
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Relations, Communications, or related field.Preferred Education : Master's degreePreferred Certifications :
Designation as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) orFellow AHP (Association for Healthcare Philanthropy) required.Location : Clearwater, Florida
