Position Summary
Reporting to the Emergency Director of Patient Care Services / Shift Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education : Graduation from Nursing School
Minimum Experience / Skills : 5 years ED experience with some of that experience being in the Shift Manager (Charge Nurse) role
License / Certificates / Credentials : Must remain current at all times
- California RN license
- ACLS and PALS,
- TNCC,
- ENPC,
- MICN
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- CEN preferred
Physical Demands :
- Frequent standing / walking
- Lift / position up to 50 lbs. Push / pull up to 50 lbs of force.
- Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Manual dexterity and mobility
- Ability to move quickly
Vision Requirements : Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform position accountabilities
Working Conditions :
- Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and blood borne diseases
