Food and Beverage Manager – The Park Country Club of Buffalo
The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with experience in the private club industry who possesses a solid work ethic, thrives in a team environment, and has a passion for excellent service. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, beverage, and creating spectacular experiences for our members and their guests, and serves as a model of excellent service for the Front of House team.
Responsibilities
- Dining Room Operations : Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate essential information for smooth service. Check in with each table to maintain front-of-house presence, assist servers and bussers with steps of service, work with the host to create seating flow, and assist in hiring processes including leading interviews, training new staff, and processing new hire paperwork.
- Banquet Operations : Lead pre-shift briefings, oversee private event execution with the host to ensure event details are correct and coordinate timing with FOH and BOH teams. Post-event, reset the room for the next function. Assist in executing Monday Golf Outings, ensuring course setup aligns with the BEO and supporting host needs throughout the day.
- Beverage Operations : Maintain knowledge of beverages to make recommendations at table side; assist in ordering beverages for all F&B outlets with a focus on inventory management aligned with COGS and sales; maintain up-to-date wine and cocktail lists; participate in tastings to refresh menus and plan for member functions (e.g., wine dinners).
Requirements / Qualifications
2–3 years of management experience in clubs, restaurants, or hotelsAbility to stand for long periodsAbility to lift 30–50 lbsKnowledge of Microsoft OfficePrevious experience with Jonas or another Point of Sale systemKey Competencies
