Travel Nursing Job Details

Job Title : Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Macon, GA 31217 (Georgia healthcare jobs)

Facility Setting : Inpatient Medical / Surgical Unit

Employment Type : Travel nursing assignment

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts / week)

Weekly Hours : 36

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : 09 / 29 / 2025

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570–$1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state preferred)

BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Medical / Surgical (Med / Surg) setting (2 years preferred)

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to Med / Surg patients

Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient rehabilitation programs

Initiate discharge planning and provide patient education from admission

Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, following all hospital safety protocols

Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment

Assume charge nurse duties as needed after orientation

Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
