- This is a 3-month contract to permanent opportunity (during the contract period you are working full-time, 40 hours / week as an hourly consultant via Motion Recruitment Partners after duration of contract you will be converted to an internal / permanent employee where you would be a salary employee)
- This position is HYBRID - candidates must live within 50 miles of Charlotte, NC.
- Hybrid schedule working in office 2 days / week.

Position Overview : The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for providing infrastructure and deployment support across the GraphQL, DMS, and PDF Generation workstreams, while working closely with the OMF DevOps team to ensure adherence to internal standards and practices.
The role will involve building and maintaining CI / CD pipelines, managing secure vendor integrations, and ensuring the scalability and security of the system, particularly with Okta integration for role-based access control and external secure vendor integration with Tier 0 systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate closely with the OMF DevOps team, ensuring alignment with OMF’s DevOps standards, practices, and security protocols.
- Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines to automate deployment processes for the GraphQL, DMS, and PDF generation systems.
- Implement and manage infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and performance across all environments.
- Work on vendor integration, particularly integrating with Okta for role-based access control and authentication.
- Ensure secure communication and integration with external vendors, particularly with Tier 0 systems, to maintain high security and performance standards.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and system monitoring to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Optimize cloud-based environments for efficient resource utilization and cost management.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure performance and resolve deployment issues.
- Ensure proper logging, monitoring, and alerting to track system health and identify issues in real time.
Technical Skills and Qualifications :
- CI / CD Expertise : Proficiency in building and managing CI / CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management : Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, managing cloud-based resources, autoscaling, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Vendor Integration with Okta : Experience integrating and managing Okta for role-based access control and secure authentication in vendor solutions.
- External Secure Vendor Integration : Proven experience in securely integrating with Tier 0 systems (critical systems) and external vendor services.
- Containerization and Orchestration : Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments and orchestration.
- Monitoring and Security : Strong experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog, and ensuring infrastructure security best practices (e.
g., encryption, secure communication).
- Automation Tools : Experience with automation frameworks and tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for system configuration and management.
- Scripting and Automation : Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a regulated environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001).
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, working closely with development teams in a continuous integration and delivery (CI / CD) pipeline.
- Strong understanding of networking, VPNs, and secure communication for external integrations.
